Obama´s historic election: E Pluribus Unum

John F. Walter is an American poet, playwright and teacher who has lived as an ex-patriate in Granada, Spain. His many theatre productions in venues in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles, such as THE JOURNAL OF ALBION MOONLIGHT, FATHER FIGURED, MARAT/KENNEDY, REAL LIFE 2.0, SATISFACTION GUARANTEED, have tackled themes ranging from radical pacifism, familial addiction, the Kennedy Assasination, identity in the age of the Internet, and corruption and decline in American sales practices. Mr. Walter is a co-founder of the virtual art movement the pre-Simulationists, whose poetry, paintings, photoshopped images and videos explore new ways to interrogate consciousness, reality and immersive simulation beyond the tired tropes of postmodernism. He plans to move back to his home state of California in the next few months.

E Pluribus Unum

In this article Mr. Walter speaks to the radical re-arrangement of awareness in the American psyche; and the rehabilitation of the United States´ image abroad, that Barack Obama´s historic election ushers in.
